Storms will affect southeast Mississippi and southwest Alabama late this evening to shortly after midnight. Another round of storms pushes across southeast Mississippi and southwest Alabama late tonight into Saturday morning, possibly affecting the western Florida panhandle before moving into the coastal waters. A Marginal Risk of severe storms exists tonight across southeast Mississippi into southwest Alabama, west of the Alabama River. A few severe storms are possible within the Marginal Risk area and produce wind gusts to 60 mph and quarter size hail. The Hurricane Awareness Tour is coming to Mobile, AL on May 5th! The event will take place at the Mobile International Airport with public tours running from 1:30pm until 4:00pm. Note that you must be in line no later than 3:30pm for the last set of tours. You will be able to tour the hurricane hunter aircraft, meet the pilots and flight crew, speak with hurricane forecasters, meet your local NWS meteorologists, walk through exhibits, and learn about hurricane preparedness.
